Outside In

Lost in a sea, of treachery

Waves so fierce

They pull me under.

When they crash, it sounds like

Never get caught in something un-true.

I lied when I bought those things for you.

Romance? Not a chance.

Our first dance was our last dance.

A crippled heart

Strayed to the dark.

In there he dwells

In a place hot like hell.

Flames that’ll burn the skin

Even when cold within,

A soulless body present

Each step he makes is less pleasant.

Ending trail in front of the mirror

My pale face couldn’t look clearer.

Lost is he? Lost am I.

How can I be,

                    Outside of my mind.
